School Open – Modified Education Program

Dear Families,
I am writing to inform you that Woodend Primary School will be open but providing a modified education program until 12.15pm on Thursday 29 November 2018 due to a vote for industrial action by members of the Australian Education Union.
The Education Director has approved the provision of a modified program, on the grounds that there will be sufficient staff on duty to enable me as Principal, to ensure that adequate standards of student safety and welfare can be provided.
Families can send their children to the site as normal. Modified education programs will be
provided to students until 12.15pm. This means that groups of students will be supervised but regular classes will not take place.
Regular classes will commence at the site from 12.15pm.
OSHC will operate as normal before and after school.
The School Canteen will be open as usual and normal ordering procedures apply.
